As good a way to start as any :)

I think you should give some thought to smaller sizes also. Unless you plan to get at that biscuit with a bastard file at some point and work in gold dust fractions ;)

Very nice mate. Consider getting small weight metal, especially Gold.

Thanks. I decided to go for 100 gm pieces because
    - The premium is bit less compared to 1 oz bars
    - This is the biggest size in tamper proof casing for PAMP mint bars.
    - I plan to buy total 1 kg (i.e. 9 more bars of 100 gm).
    - I am going to keep this gold forever.

Interesting as all the PAMP 100g bars i buy are different to yours, those bars seem to be similar as the 1oz bars in shape.

Gotta love that Lady Fortuna / Horn of Plenty design. 100grams isn't too big at all if keeping for long time. Better than paying higher premiums on smaller coins such as 1/20 and 1/10 (which i have done, but its all good).. love your work

They are larger than the 1oz. I have seen and handled some of the pictured ones.

Nice bar, I have the 1oz versions.

I like the design so much, I picked up 4 x 1oz silver bars today. These are more pricey then coins, but at least they look great =D.

Yes, I love the Fortuna design.

My only regret is I can't touch the gold in a pack like that. I have the 1oz.

Thinking of getting something I can touch next, but still find these PAMP designs favourable over so many others.
Perth Mint minted bars are very nice (green Certicard and kangaroos can't really offend) but they are quite plain and unimaginative.

Well done on converting your debt currency to something better.

Forever is a long time.... Hope the stack grows and develops many friends. I also agree with the smaller gold size discussions for easier sell/trade options should the 'forever' come. Get a nice smooth gold button, that way you can juggle it in the air without worrying about it too much - the smugglers buttons as GP hinted at once before... it has nice smooth corners (made me laugh).
