Didn't know it was in Chinese, guess it's to be expected though since it's written by a Chinese coin expert.

I was hoping to raid US eBay for cheap MS69s because I got them last week but it seems the Chinese either read Badon's words or I am unlucky :p.

Tried to bid in around 5-6 auctions but only won 2 and they were key date coins which are upward of $200/coin, the cheaper coins such as 2005 MS69 (compared to 98/99/00) have a solid floor of around $110 give or take. Was hoping to hunt it for sub-100, but it seems impossible ;)

There's some pretty strong bids over on eBay, I saw the 1999 1/4oz LD/SD go strong for $900+ among others. There might be market weakness but it's still hard to find bargains, even the frosted 2000 is going back up in prices to $450+ from the lows of $395. Considering I bid in a few auctions with awkward ending times and still barely won (and lost some) shows that the market is there, maybe because I am buying common (relatively) pandas and not bimetal or crazy rare stuff.

I've been noticing the same. Many coins hit a low and are bouncing upwards. Some coins like the gold plated Beijing expo series are approaching their recent highs.

Still, there are bargains to be found from time to time. I've started noting the new highs and new lows in my commentary for each list.

BTW, list 108 is out http://www.livebusinesschat.com/smf/index.php?topic=4853.new#new

badon puts in his review of the Hong Kong auction that just concluded.

The HK auction led to some interesting sales on Xu Hong's store...

Soong Ching Ling coins seem like an awesome thing to collect, have to look into it more.

There's just so many bloody varieties of Chinese coins, ahhhhhh.

Got my book today, looks awesome!

A modern chinese coin collector with a chinese book, mwahahaha the possibilities are endless!

Pretty surprised how quick it came, only took 10 days whereas my other order from him took 1 month+...
