You will have the envy of many in a few years. I think Libs will be gaining popularity in upcoming years. Just my hunch...I might be wrong. .
You can get them from US & European dealers, I surprised they are not available in Aussie. http://www.muenzdachs.de/epages/63784639.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/63784639/Products/0751
Don't get me wrong as I'm a noob and haven't seen many others(coins) but so far Libertad's are my favourite. I would have no problem selling a kidney.........
Very nice coins indeed. One of my favorites as well, despite if I don't own any. Kael: haha, your health is worth more than any coin in the world.
http://www.choicebullion.com/ Fusion and db23 or Brian and Doug are members here on this forum as well, they can get sets for you
Unfortunately the reason there is no certificate is because that is not an official 5 coin proof set. That is an aftermarket box, not one released by Banco de Mexico. Still a collection of very nice coins though.
Which company produces those aftermarket copycats then? I asssume they have permission from the Mexicans? Wasn't so far even aware that this happend for the Mexican coins.
I doubt Banco de Mexico is required to give permission to any dealer who puts together a set. There would be a legal problem I'd bet if the dealer claimed it was an official mint set. Personally, I think in the end it serves the Libertad collector better that these un-official sets are put together....just so long as the dealer is not claiming the after market set to be something it is not (which would be an official mint set). . .
Libertadiac said in post #110 that there was no certificate, but his picture there does show the box having "Banco de Mexico" on it. That is legally seen as okay?
I think it should be OK... seen quite a number of wooden display cases for kooks/lunars that has "Perth Mint" wording (some with Perth Mint swan logo too).
