does anyone know if there are any laws/rules about metal detecting on beaches in WA?

apart for the common courtesy of detecting at night. / avoiding shame of looking like a geek :p / not walking through peoples fun.

the best is late evening and early morning
Best is in the water, from about 75cm deep, the deep where your hands hit the water, your hands are shrinking due to temperature change, guess what hits the sandy bottom first it starts with R.
