    That one actually sold less than what they were going for 6 months ago !

    I know, id rather have a 1 oz Pd coin and leftovers into some silver than the spider. - coin doenst look good anyway

    That's an anomaly and the best performing perth mint silver coin.

    For some reason it's a big hit and people love it!

    (I don't see the point either)

    Really makes me wonder about people...sort of the "sheep syndrome" with this coin?...like what is it that make s people pay that sort of money for a 1 ouncer?...is it the resale value or what...its got me.

    Imagine if you had bought 100 of them at the start...anyone done that here on the forum?

    I showed some people that coin at work and they all loved it, then told them the price and they couldnt believe it.

    I wouldn't be paying that much but you're laughing if you got it early.

    The people who wanna part with a gorilla to buy the Redback - just have to understand they aren't people like you and me. Probably ultra wealthy or something and a grand is just loose change to them.

    Goldmember, I doubt anyone could've forseen it's value jump so madly.

    95% of Perth Mint's issue proofs are a dud and usually depreciate in value to like $50 (when spot is $35) all the way from $105 or $115 now.
