There's the possibility that we've secured a CBD cafe for regular mid-week meet-ups (helps when the cafe owner is a stacker!). It's in the CBD, but before we plan the first get-together, I thought I'd poll members for likely numbers and desired frequency - it's an area that we're likely to be able to have entirely to ourselves, and can accommodate maybe 30 people without hassle.

It would be more of a meal type affair and some trading, not a replacement for the big monthly meetings, so there wouldn't be auctions etc.

Sound off if you're interested, and how frequently you're interested in meeting.

Definite buzz. Will be down in the CBD around mid September, all things being well.

Be good to meet the Melbourne crowd :D

That's one option - or just make it fortnightly. Need to discuss it with the venue owner to see if they're happy to have it randomly scheduled based on when the monthly occurs (there's no August meet up for example), or just say "every second Wednesday".

They won't be replacing the monthly meet ups, but there's plenty of folk who work (or loiter!) in the CBD so it seems natural to leverage that - Sydney started off with weekly lunches and is now introducing a second monthly meeting, Melbourne is just doing the opposite. Still expect the monthlies to be as big and successful as they have been up til now.

Sounds good to me, but on a monthly/bi-monthly basis would be enough for me personally.
