What people are bringing to swap or sell on the day thread. http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-10648-melbourne-meetup-sunday-19th-june-trading-thread.html
Oh hello. Can I get an invite too? Where and what time to time? I might be able to come and look around
Anyone else needing last minute location details. Please message me right away. The cut off time for sending out location details is 9am Sunday morning. (As I have too much running around to do in the morning to be online) Anyways seeyou all there at 2pm
It was nice to meet all these people. Thank you Boston and goldmember for the company and sharing your knowledge. Also like to thank everyone else, it was great to be around you guys
Thanks all for coming, and thanks to adrenalin for doing most of the running around beforehand - crazy day. July's meeting will be in a CBD location (subject to confirmation) - will be a very interesting venue! Will try and introduce a little more structure into the meetings too - would be nice to get a speaker or presentation happening at each one to make them a bit more educational again, rather than just a swap & auction meet.
Really enjoyed the meetup today....big thanks for a well organised event to Adrenalin,Cleopatra,GP,CK,Spanner, etc etc and all who contributed to another great day! Name tags were a good idea so we could put names to the faces, lots of new faces - big welcome to all the newbs. I couldnt believe what the signed copy of Maloneys book went for!... great that all funds went to running of the forum...well done Stella for donating, great stuff.
Hey Guys, I just want to thank everyone for attending another sucessful Silver Stacker event! I think we broke another record with over 40 people attending. There was not enought seats for everyone! might need a bigger room next time! Thankyou to all the guys that arrived early to help set up beforehand. CK, Cleopatra, Spanner Monkey etc. Thankyou Cleopatra for collecting donations and applying nametags. Thankyou for everyone that kindly donated for the cost of the event. We covered the costs with extra money to spare so the next upcoming events will be FREE with FREE snacks. I hope you guys liked the snacks provided. It was all finished!! I didn't even get to eat any Thankyou to Aussie Collectables for bringing up a few display cases full of interesting silver items. Thankyou to those that travelled from great distances around Australia to attend. Thankyou for Ben for running the auction again. Great technical knowledge about what was up for auction! Also great to see the old regular silver stackers and the new silver stackers attending this event once again. There much was much bargains at the auction. One notable auction was a 1kg Silver Kookaburra coin that went for only $1100. That is currently $90 cheaper than what the Perth Mint is selling a 1kg coin for! Another thankyou for Stella Concepts for donating a signed copy of Michael Maloney's - Investing in Gold and Silver book. (with all proceeds going towards the Melbourne Silver Stacker event). The auction for the signed copy started low at a few cents and kept being bid up and up. At one point I thought it was going to be sold for $13. But it kept being bid up even further. $35, then up to $50! WOW. But it wasn't over yet! It went over the $100 mark! and still kept going strong! The 3 top bidders truely have big hearts! It was a battle towards the end and was now going for crazy amounts with no end in sight! After much excitement it finally finished at $150.00 !!!! Yes $150.00 !!!!! Thankyou so much to the winning bidder, I really appreciate your generous bidding And thanks again for Stella Concepts for donating the item up for auction. ......Stay tuned for the next event!
Thanks to all the crew for another interesting meet! Glad I was able to contribute (a little) by pushing up the price of the book until the final snipe by Szag! Also, thanks to a forum member on the day who suggested I was less worried and more of a Lunartic!!
Thanks Adrenalin and GP and team for another superb event. Very nicely set up, appreciate the time and effort you guys put in to run the Melbourne meetup.
I'm going to have to come down from Sydney for more of these meets if you guys keep selling kilo Kooks cheaper than kilo bars. Props to all the organisers for such a great day and thanks to everyone who welcomed us out-of-towners. It was great to meet you all
Hey that was quick! you changed your name already. I'm glad you're not "worried" anymore. Lunartic is a great name!
