A brief summary of the events today.....

The event was held at the same location as last time.
This time there was a lot of traffic around, a little bit more difficult to find a parking spot.

Originally I booked a table for 15 people. Then after the great respose I had from the Melbourne Stacker community. I upgraded it to 25.
Luckly I did, as at least 25 people showed up today. Some didn't have seats to sit on.
Or they chose to stand around the action... Captain Kookaburra had a gathering of eager buyers waiting for his spot % auction to finish.
I'm not sure of the results but after that it was on! A total buying frenzy.

I actually was planning to buy or swap some of my stack. I ended up selling most of what I brought there.
I brang a few coins to show others what the older lunar coins looked like....eg.. the Lunar Dragon that I passed around.
Had some nice offers on that coin. Sorry I didn't end up selling it as I got caught up selling my mouse coins.
(the offer is still open for the dragon coin if you are interested , just send me a message)

Now there was a lot of new faces today and the familar ones.
It's great to meet new stackers. Sorry I didn't get to chat to you all.
I did organise a bit of "musical chairs" so we could mix around a bit more but we ran out of time.

The staff at this place were a bit pushy and wanted us to leave by 4.30pm.
(they also wanted to charge $10 per head even if no food or drinks were ordered)
I spoke to the manager and mentioned when I booked the table, if it was ok if we were to only order drinks.
They said it was fine. Then today they were pushing for us to eat and drink and pushing for us to leave early.
Either way we shall find another location next time around.
We have also outgrown that location now.

Overall it was another successful event.
Thanks for all the new stackers that dropped by today and we shall see you again at the next event!

PS. send me a message if you can suggest another location that we can have the next event at.

Had a good time. Thanks Adrenalin for organising. Picked up my first gold oz thanks to CK. He'll need to bring two backpacks next time eh?
It's great to see the enthusiasm everyone had.
Worst comment of the day? My wife saw the gold oz and said," But it's so small.......!!!" Hope no-one heard the comment out of context.

The astute observers, i.e. those that looked under the table, will have noticed that I did indeed bring two backpacks (including the famous Australia Green and Gold), and a lovely green Woolies shopping bag too. ;)
