The last thing I remember of Greg Dowling was him getting a touch up on the sidelines from Tamati (?) back in the mid 80's.

I heard he is spending $10 Million trying to get back into Parliament  and has promised to pay the workers entitlements who lost their jobs in Queensland Nickel in Mount Isa  but the funny part was he declared that it wasn't a political decision o_O

Come on Big Clive that sounds like a bit of a porky pie to me

It was reported today that "Big Clive" has been polled at 18% in the far north Queensland seat of Herbert and also has 8% on average of the other polled seats that the "United Australia Party" is throwing shit loads of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ at o_O

It was also reported that he has or will spend a whopping 50M $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ at the Federal Election

Who said that you cannot buy an election or some seats while One Nation was bagged for doing the exact same thing

Politics is a funny game wouldn't you say

I think Clive is running a smart campaign, he's appealing to the major issues in my region, coal and tax. He promises to support the coal industry and to reduce tax for those in regional Australia. But like every alternative party with the exception of the LDP, his policies and performance are a mixed bag of enhancing freedoms on the one hand, whilst restricting them on the other. At least he doesn't bang on about Muslims.

Talking of coal, the Stop Adani circus rolled through town today. Judging by some of the comments on Facebook, I'd say they'll have got a frosty, if not hostile reception from some. They should leave tomorrow at some time as they are due to annoy the residents of Airlie Beach on Friday.

Some were surprised that although the con artist Christopher Skase was dead that he wasn't running ... if characters like Clive run for election what does that say about the what your vote is worth ...

Clive did his bit. Gave us a fallback that didn't involve nutso-red-head nationalists. Good on him.

ONP did get 5% of the national primary vote in the senate as opposed to Clive's 2.00% odd. Look like Pauline will have a friend in the senate to sit with now as ONP will get another senate seat.
