    Hi all
    Has anyone had any experience machining 999 silver on a milling machine?
    I'm thinking because it's so soft, it will gum up the cutting tool and won't get a clean cut or finish.
    Any info would be great. Rpm, feed rate, type of cutting tool etc
    Thanks

    I've never tried it but I would think your assumptions are correct. I would probably treat it like aluminium; super sharp TC tool, rpm as fast as you can go and WD40 for lube.

    But really you're asking in the wrong place. Try here;
