Hi It might be very premature to ask but does anyone have any knowledge if PM will continue its Lunar Series for the third time?
Do you think the Perth Mint would not milk another opportunity like that? They're probably already planning out a thousand different versions and combiniations of each coin - coloured, high relief, antique, privy mark, gilded, proof, gemstone, Beijing coin show, etc.
That would take my purchases from hundreds per year down to 0-20 coins per year. We saw what happened when they tried that on kooks. Combine 1mm mintage with a potential milk spot problem and I would be gone like the wind. That would bring back flashbacks of the CWL coins fiasco. I will put in a good word for the PM. Received a box of lunars today and the box had a nice dent in the corner. Something was rattling inside, so I opened the box. Some of the plastic tray had cracked, then fallen off and was rattling around. The coins look okay. Kudos to the PM for the sturdy packing.
Thanks for the responses. I wonder whether the interest in the current and previous series would be higher/lower or the same if they stop/continue with the series.
