Sorry thought I'd use our Panda cousins ideas

Popped out for lunch today dropped into the local PO and asked them when theyre getting some dragons, Lady says I got these things (2xproofs) $112each, I said you have any more she said no. She told me she was a dragon I said if you see any more of these come in put one away for yourself :D

So moral to story go to PO and ask for Dragons

    Amateur question in bound....

what is the big deal with the Perth Mint Lunars over the RAM ones? I trotted down to the PO to consider above advice, they couldn't help, but the lady told me they did have RAM dragon proofs for $50 online, they didnt have any in stock themselves..

Looking at the mintages RAM have 10,000.... does this explain the half price offer?? twice the mintage = half the price? or is it just that the RAM ones are less appealing?

    Cheers...

    Doh!

    Good catch!

And you managed to get them at below the issue price of $112.50. Did the PO say whether they had more than the two you bought or whether they managed to get their whole allocation?

My local PO had five, now I have five (though not yet in my hot little hands, they have put them to one side and I have to pay for them after work), there are another two Post Offices near where I live and although they are busier and usually have less stock I might just pay them a visit as well, after all, I hear they are worth a 10 ouncer each!

That and they are generally less appealing.

    Share the love!

I know my PO was happy to off load them as quickly as they did, they still have Rabbits of various persuasions sitting in the same cabinet, not sure about proofs but the coloured and a few other odds and sods.

Actually I might find out exactly what they have in stock and I will post it up here somewhere to see if anyone is struggling to complete their set.

The secret is to look for the locked display cabinet! Though sometimes they are on a shelf behind the counter.

Generally they are the most expensive thing in the shop so they are usually prominently displayed!

Tried a few local ones and got the same 'what?' looks..

Finally found one who knew what Perth Mint was and she told me they weren't expecting them until December.. so WTF?

Asked if I can leave my name etc.. they couldnt do that either since they havent arrived.

"Have you seen this round thing?"
over a picture of the Dragon!
