mintage of s1 horse, ox, tiger 99,632 52,267 56,077 so when comparing these fruits compare sizes as well
oh, I see anyway, it is not good way to compare 1 month old coin to mature 4-5 year old ones and the main idea is the same: when comparing these fruits compare sizes/age too
Horse 1oz Silver Proof Coin for 95 AUD at bullionmoney. Isn't this cheaper than what some people are asking for on the forum? http://bullionmoney.com.au/products/2014-PROOF-Lunar-Horse-Silver-1oz-Coin.html
I gues that would be the difference of having it now and later...convinience do tend cost am arm and a leg around here...
I have noticed that Ainslie did not change the price of a box snake even with the recent spot rise.Seems like set at $3100/100coin...and still no horses...trying to sell the snake first before listing horse? :/ edit:hit submit before finishing the sentence
Have Horses sold out from the Major suppliers.. i am seeing horses here and around at $36 so i take it there is no extreme rush of demand for these? I know spot is down but i think most assumed (erroneously) that $38 would be the price floor, wonder if they will go much lower.. Snakes must be at $33 or less by now! 1for1
Apmex has a lot I believe the reason is buyers are staying on sidelines not only for lunars but for silver in general. From one point of view it is good that horses are still available ... it means no privy bullshit will be around, so mintage might be limited to 300k
Didn't they still make privy snakes even though demand was delinquent that year (we all took the year off HAHA!) Ok im officially not buying more lunar.. please stop me guys before i am tempted! (this is a very bad habit of mine i need to shake - i blame SS for getting me into lunar -- prior to joining i was a bar and antquie numi guy.. modern premiums bullion is really screwing with me.. but at least i didnt get the junky $109 PM stuff - which youll now be lucky to get $90 for before ebay and paypal fees! ouch!
Well the 1oz at issue price are still worth getting and when the price of the 10oz Lunar coins is within $10 of a poured bar they are worth getting. The $109 coins are nice enough for a collection but for those speculating on price they are probably worth a miss. The 3 coin proof set is not as exciting now as you seem to be able to get some if not all the proofs individually. Still too early to call their time of death, we have the end of this series and most likely a third series afterwards, maybe not so many varieties in the future though.
I wouldn't have thought so, unless people get really bored. Once you get collectors intersted in a series you can keep selling them every year as they 'have' to keep their collection up-to-date. I nearly got caught out too, when they reminted the kooks I picked up one of each instead of my usual bullion purchases. I looked at my near complete collection and nearly bought the remaining coins at inflated prices just so I could have a complete set. I don't even want a complete set but it is a compulsion! The RAM has already got the Kangaroo icon, Perth will want to keep the Koalas and Kookaburras. If I set up a mint I will corner the Dingo market before that goes too.
If the European dealers put up a large enough order request, privy horse coins are coming to a coin store near you. Isn't the PM sold out of horses, so why would they care if the dealer inventory is cleared out?
