" People allow themselves to be taken advantage of UP to a point and then reality sets in and they start questioning their judgement on all fronts."

Thats true. I've soured off Perth Mint altogether since lunar coins

I agree that lots of people have been put off by the Perth Mint and are not buying Perth Mint coins anymore or at least not as much as before.
Having said that, I think the standard lunars (bullion, 1oz proof, 3-coin proof set, 1kg proof) are still selling reasonably well compared to the hundreds of other proof coins they keep releasing. For the others, the chance of buying a winner is so smalll that it's not worth it.

Dealers here in europe are dumping the 5oz proof dragons and snakes.
    I just found 255eu or 326 aud for a 5oz proof dragon

3 coin set? I got one. Nobody wants them. 315aud. Nobody.

Proof 1 oz? I got snake and dragon. Put them both on ebay, no reactions. Not even at 130aud for a 1oz proof dragon.

Nope, never PM numismatics again for me.

They are in the attic now, a lesson well learned.

Even better, i went to a dealer and wanted to sell all of my PM proof boxes "at my own purchase price or trade for bullion''

No interest, sorry we can buy them lower, no demand here.

I don't even believe the mintage numbers anymore.

You know, dealers here get proofs and coloured PM boxes in packages, ''buy 1000 privy's and get a 5oz proof dragon at half price.'' or something like that.
    Dumping the unsold numismatic coins.

That is the reality of PM.

BUT, the 5oz dragon is a stunning masterpiece!

Link? The last snake 3-coin sets I saw on ebay Germany sold for 300 Euro and the last 1oz Dragon proof for 140 Euro.
What 3-coin set are you selling for $315?

I will take the 3-coin Dragon set for $315, can pay instantly if interested! With the 1 oz bullion coins people still seem to be judging them from the time when spot price was $10 an oz higher than now. Whenever I sell the lunars as singles on ebay I always get a decent premium, more so than an ASE, phil, buffalo. Also when the lunars are released they are the same over spot as most other coins but are still getting higher premiums on resale.

Well I could do with a dragon 3 coin set...

I am also looking forward to the reminting of the kilo Dragon because I was too lazy to get one when they were readily available.

For those who think lunars are dead and are desperate to get rid of them, I'll help you with your 1oz non-privy, non 2013 rolls for $700 per roll. That's about 25% over spot! :)

How much would someone lose selling at that price? How mad would someone have to be selling their "investments" at a loss.

Ill keep re-arranging the deck chairs of this Titanic as i dont sell at a loss.. but Yups.. thats what im starring at with this PM product - still could be worse.. i could of gambled on some of the $109 PM schite

Sometimes you have to sell at a loss, particularly if there is a better investment.
So if you believe lunars are dead, then it is best to sell them at a loss.

Also, $700 is still a nice profit for many. How much did the mouse coins sell for back in 2007?
