Hi Crew, I managed to buy 10 1 oz 2013 silver lunar snake proofs, 1 of which happens to be serial number 888. Do you think there is any added value by it's "uniqueness" and asian appeal? Or are coins in sequence ie 847,48,49 of more value? Looking to offload / trade a few and just wondering which ones to keep.
That's the holy grail of lunar proof serial numbers - well done! How did you manage to buy 10 with the limit of 1 per customer at the mint? Part of the "blockade" at the mint gates on Tuesday?
It pays to have a large family! (note - cost me a fortune at the pub that day!) haha, no wasn't part of the goon patrol at the gates, got there after the rush. So the 888 is as i thought, wondered why a good friend (supposedly) offered me his wife and car for it. The cars in pretty good nick too Any silly offers (no more wives please!)
So the age old question, ebay, consignment, direct sell for the best return? Anyone suggest someone/dealer who can sell on my behalf? PS thanks for the many offers already!
Get what you can for it .. you got lucky.... take the additonal cash now and reinvest in some finite good without a good luck factor and more intrinsic value. I doubt demand for extravagant investments like that will continue to boom, esp when you consider the target market.. 1for1
Well after taking everyone's advice it's listed on febay , (not sure how to attach link ) let's see what happens. Thanks for all the interest I especially liked the suggestion to stand out the front of Burswood casino with a for sale sign to catch a lucky asian high roller ! lol! Will be trading/selling two other 1 oz snake proofs - consecutive s/n - check the lunar public forum soon
