Given what's happening with au & ag spot I think perhaps it's time to move more into higher end numi stuff for me, at least temporarily...

I'm about to change my accumulation model. I just hope the sellers don't increase margins on silver bars!

Its a hard call VRS, Im honestly glad im out of PM's, almost..
Numis have halved in sale price unless they are genuine unc or fdc. Precious metals took the biggest single day hit this week since 1980, that i can remember. Silver is trending down and gold looks up, but a near neg $100 hit on Gold is staggering. Some people lost a serious amount of loot this week

You will make good money on Numis, but you have to know what you have when you list an auction on ebay,if you know what you have you will make more money than you did on one of those auctions you had last week

Hmm...you said you could see 'a couple of hundred bucks' in the numi clearout I had last week - and the eBay auction made not far off $700 - I'm happy with that because it allows me to buy several items, clear the decks, and concentrate on getting the best coins I have graded with NGC (of which I'm a member)

I'm not interested in doing the same mass market league as the big numi dealers - I'm interested in a different buyer profile - the ones who pay your airfare to deliver... ;)

If you knew what you had along with better descriptions and much better pics you could have done better, when you play with numismatics you have to know what you have and what its worth

I thought the list was pretty extensive & self-explanatory - it did the job anyhow - actually to a rather sophis repeat customer who also happens to be very active on here - All good ;)

I have done it stacks of times VRS. $300 $600 $750. Selling coins for more than you thought possible, inspires people to learn. I choose a niche when i started and expanded on that, learning as i went. Im very confident with my chosen niche now.

$35 for a cupro 50c is a pretty good margin. 70x investment. is like me flipping and 1oz for $1400+ next week. it aint gunna happen
Great sales and whopper profits. Because i care to the max about the coin and how i deliver it. And i know your good at sales and enjoy it or you wouldn't do it.

    $1 million 1930PR penny. $1.5 million Shilling note. 00001
    and awesome stuff lower down.

With silver i would have to flip it a dozen times and profit or expand my holdings every single transaction or it would not be viable. unless i fluked the 1 in 100 round they produce a year that is worth a bomb and nobody really knows why?

Some great recent sales. A decimal 1 cent slabbed sold for $250 a month ago on ebay. $250 bucks and it takes up less room than 10oz of silver.

Just a quick update - the 1886 Ruble in the parcel which I recently auctioned - has now been verified after xray & confirmed by Ainslie's numismatist as original.

Value of the coin, given its rarity & condition? $1200-1800

Like I said - I was happy with the auction result - and my 'sophis repeat customer' seems to be very happy too...

He obviously saw the value there, rather than 'a couple of hundred bucks' eh?

The moral of the story is that if you're smart, you'll keep an eye on my auctions & sales - and in future please leave those who know what they're talking about - to get on with their business... ;)
