    As referenced by sgtbull in his latest video

    Letter is here: http://www.treasury.gov/connect/blog/Pages/letter.aspx

    Basically, it is Tim Geithner, telling the House Majority Leader that Congress needs to increase the US debt limit ASAP, or the country will default.

    so i guess its safe to say the US will just increase its debt limit and continue the ponzi scheme.

    The answer from Congress should come like that;

    So debt does matter after all little Timmy?
    So tell us if you lied to us before or you are really that stupid?

    This statement is the best description of American (and Australian debt )

    " Gold is the money of Kings, silver is the money of Gentlemen, barter is the money of Peasants - but debt is the money of Slaves "

    At that level I think it is called 'treason' with the only defense being 'the road to hell is paved with good intentions'.

    Well, what else are they going to do at this point? The thing has gone on so long now that no-one really knows what to do.

    Surprising to hear them say that though. They must be feeling a bit desperate about the whole thing.

    I know the Tea Party candidates came in with all the bluster about reducing the deficit and debt and such, but really, what were they going to do? It looks way beyond the point of no return to me.

    Might as well just press the pedal further to the floor. Jamming on the brake would cause a massive accident at these speeds. Just hope you don't fly off the tracks...
