Can anyone tell me approx when this bar was minted. It has the old left facing swan design and none of the newer security measures on the packaging... Perhaps it's a fake but I don't think so... Picked it up at the coin shop in town for $60, maybe I overpaid but its an interesting bar so I took it.. There's another one there that I'm thinking of buying next week..
So what's the go with this bar? When did the Perth Mint change to the new design and should I buy the other one? _20180608_174323.JPG

Looks legit, and $60 is a great price

Not sure when they stopped packaging this way, but I'm sure someone here will

Yes buy the other one. It's a good price for those and don't come up that often, however they are not rare. Someone must be holding a nice bundle of them somewhere.

There was someone looking for small fractionals of these a month or two ago

$60 is a steal. The new ones retail for high $60s and these old ones should be able to command a slight premium in the secondary market.
