I see that there have been large numbers of layered/clad Perth Mint certicards and PAMP bars sold on eBay from an Australian seller

    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_...sanli=15&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&LH_Complete=1

The sellers are : both from same address
    goldendragonzz
    bullion-r-us

Please be aware of these look alike bars - designed to scam the buyer
All posts say Clad or Layered but these look like the real item and resales to the unsuspecting public is a worry.
Sent a note to Ron Currie as the PM should be aware their brand name and logo is being used

After the massive Alibaba IPO, there's probably little that will be done if it risks impacting investors.

The Perth Mint logo and brand should be enough to have them removed from eBay.

Doesn't Perth Mint enforce its trade marks?

Legal tender is indeed counterfeit but the bars are a breech of copyright and I am sure the PM will have protected their name and logo. Ron should contact EBay or the AFP to shut this seller down. My concern is that a large number of fake bars will seriously damage the sale of PM bars. Also it will compromise sales of genuine bars. What is to stop someone with a fake bar buying a genuine bar on EBay then claiming it was a fake and producing the fake bar and demanding a refund through PayPal. It is a real worry. If you sell certicard please photograph the bar and serial number -may help ?

Are these fake bars also in the certicard with serial number?

Do the sellers use a genuine bar pic for illustration purpose ?

I have reported heaps of fake "coin" and fake "bullion" sellers to ebay and never once did they remove the dodgy listings. Have made around 50 reports especially about fake Pandas and Kooks as I used to be a seller on ebay and didn't want that crap impacting on my genuine items. Unfortunately the only thing they care about is money.

In fairness yes the amount of fakes is ridiculous and should be stoped somehow.
On the other hand their shoes are so cheep a girl can't help but support them just a little bit. :|

All this blaming Alibaba is ridiculous . Alibaba is just a trading platform they dont sell the goods the individual traders or companies do . Its no ones job in alibaba to weed out the fakes nowhere does it say on any trading platform Only 100% genuine goods sold here .

Doesnt matter if its ebay ,craigslist ,gumtree or alibaba its just somewhere to list goods & is not the fault of the trading platform .
Alibaba is a very good B2B sourcing platform for goods from all over the world not just china .
