    2011, kooks or rabbits?

buying a bunch.. do we expect either to attract a premium in the future?

Rabbits. Lunars have a solid track record of gaining numismatic premiums.

    Kookaburras - not so much.

If they are all the same price, go with the lunars for any potential future premium.

    EDIT: ^^^ what he said

cool - same price so switched over to rabbits :)

thought so - just wanted some confirmation.

Only started stacking a few days ago.. interesting times with the silver price I must say!

Bought a kilo last week for 1400.. same vendor now = 1520.

Series one definitely, I just don't see there being any significant premium on series two coins that have maxed out mintage. Compared to kooks sure but I don't expect any significant premium on either 2011 coin down the track.

Don't forget Series II Lunar 1oz is still capped at 300,000 until the end of the series - Kookaburras have already been increased to 500,000.

Of the 3 PM coins the track record is Lunars, Kooks then Koalas. Koalas however look to be gaining a bit of a numismatic premium overseas so 2nd and 3rd might jostle a bit in coming years. In any event, so long as the PM sells lunars for the same price as Kooks or Koalas...... Lunars every time.
