Address from Chairman Nov Last year at the shareholding meeting - year 2011 issues - Market shorts and undervalued condition of KCN share price - Carbon tax, critique of global warming agenda - Economics and the left - language manipulation - KCN current situation - aim to be the pre-eminant mid teir producer in Australia http://www.brrmedia.com/event/89610/ross-smyth-kirk-chairman
This chart sucks most foully - $7 didn't hold, $6 didn't hold, now you have to ask whether $5 will not hold. Series of 2 lower highs, 3 lower lows, due for a bounce perhaps but then the channel might deflect it for yet another lower low. And look at the pustulent head and shoulders top stretching from 2009 to 2011 - neckline to top of the head stick is $5, flip it over from the neckline at $7 gives you a conventional target of $2 - and hey the price has been there before a few times
My Price target 3.90 - 4.5 Im hoping $5 wont hold and looking at that chart doesn't really tell you much
I had a dream about this stock, There was a computer that factored in all information to evaluate stocks on -5 to +5 spectrum +5 being great investment -5 being terrible investment In the dream the computer was calculating all the information and it was in negative territory untill the last 2 bits of information werre pressessed - basicaly in the dream this stock was a +5 for investment I tried to do Newcrest in the dream but I couldnt find it - so the dream only gave me KCN info I offer that for what its worth
One reason why I like KCN is their dividend policy is a fixed percentage of their profit. ( so you hope they are great at mine managment!) Thats similar to Newmont's policy.
Picked up some at 4.45 next order is for 3.90... but hopefully the bottom is in its hit and bounced off a longterm moving average - so we'll see
Compared to me, you sound like a millionaire. You seem to have stocks coming out of the Ying Yang Best of luck to you. I see that Lynas is having the life crushed out of it. After the Indonesia affair, and the Malaysian protests, one wonders if LYC will ever take off. Glad I dumped this one in 2011 for a minor profit. Must be torture for the big shareholders.
Yeah as soon as I knew the evironmental maxists had singled it out - I get off board and deleated it from my watchlists. I made some preety good profits from Lynas sold out back over $2 after buying in just over $1. For the rare earth play Alkane Resources is my horse - its morediversified with their 2 Gold projects, so comes with some insurance build in. I needed to sell Greenland Minerals (at al loss) but I do believe they are not as bad as some think. Its an extremely strategic deposit for Europe with REE, Zinc, Uranium... they might get it stolen off them, some have already tried - thats the risk with socialist countries and their crony businesses. Just look at my thread on Intrepid Mines.... My strategy for producers is different than for juniors/developers When I say I bought - some people might think I means a big buy - no When I bought i mean about $1k, I dont want (for example) KCN to go to $3.5 purely on the back of sentiment mixed with some mediocre news and I not have a piece of it. If gold/silver's bull market is over im going to get destroyed, but if it isnt ill be ok. Ive been a bible believing Christian now for over 10 years - my own emotions, the need to follow the herd, sentiment and public opinion has long since lost it's influence over me. I look at the evidence and make my own decision and I wear the responsability no matter the loss/gain. I may not do as well as some of you guys who sold in May and are buying back in now.... but me and my family will do ok. I know this is weird to say for some, but it was my trust in the validity and authenticity of the Bible as being superintended by God and how it describes the future that got me into investing, previously I had never given it another thought. But being diligent is important and educating myself has been the top priority since 2008/2009 when I first got the incling that what Jesus said about the world and how Revelation describes it, is on the doorstep - I want my extended family to be looked after to the best of my ability. If there is a gold/silver confiscation and the worst happens a shutdown of the markets happens, ill still be ok.

Source: Me and Commsec Just wanna show my thinking on this stock and why I think it's bottomed Hopefully its self explanitory oh forgot to show the runn before the 2005 correction started is also 333% rise
I dont know where it finished the day but it got as low as 4.08, I have my order in for 3.75 to meet the 200 monthly avg (which is 3.66 at the moment).... Considering this is a div paying producer, its compelling buy despite some issues at the challenger mine. I just hope there is not something im missing.
My buy ave price is at 5.9 or there about - so at the moment i dont get where the weakness is coming from unless people are shorting/selling kcn and jumping into EVN or NCM. NCM and KCN were both down about the same -% if you bought in dec/jan so transitioning would not have incurred much of a relative loss. But i dunno what the deal is im just speculating
That's quite a big hit. However, when companies like KCN & MML move, they move quickly, so once gold companies start going up, it shouldn't take long to recover. But *what* gold company is not currently down? Loads of them have been crucified.
