..."Going on a two week journey? A pair of socks are all you need."...

Are they seriously suggesting that you can wear these sock for two weeks without issues?

I want to know a lot more about this product before investing in this type of silver.

The concept isn't new, but they aren't selling a concept, they are selling a product.

I have heard about hospitals having silver in the sheets and in the robes to prevent MRSA and other infections but nothing has ever come of it.

I would buy a pair and try em out, but stay far away from those crowdfunding sites like kickstarter....I can't tell you how many of the gun forum guys that got ripped off from funding multiple 80% AR lower projects.

LOTS of them played the crowdfunding gamble, only to just see their money float away...as the project starter pocketed all the money and retired to Mexico at the free Casa Grande spread.

I tried to find a pair of the silver socks for my 8" tall Danner size 14's , but couldn't find any...most were the lower ankle height sneaker variety :(

I have backed 26 projects on Kickstarter, only one hasn't come through so I am down $33. I have bought a fair amount on eBay, and only two haven't arrived, so I am down $$$ on that. I don't know what an 80% AR lower project is but it is like most things, you read the project and decide if you trust them enough to give your money to a stranger on the internet.

Indiegogo is not so good, I backed one project, it didn't meet their funding levels but due to the way it is set up, they get the money anyway. The goods never turned up, I don't think it was deliberate fraud, they thought they could produce an item new to the market but someone beat them to it, I now have their competitor's product and it is pretty good. I would steer clear from Indiegogo anyway, most of the projects are people just asking for charity hand outs, at least kickstarter is geared towards bringing a project to market.

So if they made silver jocks/undies could you wear them for two weeks without washing them?

    I was thinking that myself.

I guess I would take them camping or hiking but I wouldn't want to do that for two weeks, a weekend at the most, and I would probably still bring enough for a new pair each day.

I work in a hospital so I would definitely get some pyjamas or a change of clothes in silver if I had to go in for a stay, you can't be too careful. I might get a full set for everyday wear as well.

Woollen undergarments have a long "shelf" life I'm told. Fkn expensive though. But then again it's what you're used to, shelf life wise.
