She needs to bring in a new tax on high heels to prevent this catastrophe happening again in future.

Actually it's very sad indictment on both the woman and our state of politics. The supposed highest political power in Australia and she's thought of as little more than a clown..................................... She's doing a good job at that I suppose (being a clown that is).

Julia and John Howard would make a good pair! Did anyone see John Howard attempting to bowl at a cricket match in India? Must have been the shortest bouncer of all time..

Yes George Bush, Julia and John have given me some laughs over the years. :)

What is wrong with our leaders? Has anyone seen any other world leaders take a fall like ours?

    Regards Errol 43

US President Gerald Ford once (just once) had a bit of a slip coming down the stairs of Air Force One... and the US media, Comedians and cartoonists have been milking it ever since.

This is at least the 3rd time Julia's gone down in public... where are our gag writers????

    P.S.
Can anyone see a pattern here? (hint; That Black & White ensemble may not be very lucky :) )

No, the sad indictment is that everyone is more concerned about something like this, than the fact that sometimes 'stuff happens''.

What I thought was, ''gee, she fell over, bit of an embarrassment but she handled it okay and off she went. Shoes can be annoying and pity the cameras caught it!''

What the incident has to do with how she runs the country, I don't know. I don't really care too much for politics or have much of an opinion on the activities of politicians, but if she is thought of as a clown because she fell over, then perhaps that has something to do with the people thinking it than the state of politics in this country.

I saw in an Indian article that someone said she should wear boots, her reply was that in Australia there would be too much talk of wearing boots with skirts. Sadly, she is probably right.

LOL That would be even better............... Boots with skirts! I can see it already! Very becoming I think for Julia.

On a serious note though, how the hell does one take seriously a politician who has the credibility of a watermellon? The lying so and so deserves to be laughed into the ground. We are all well aware of the serious issues of this nation but Gillard (and Rudd) have made such a farce of responsible governing that they have become defacto clowns. I don't give Gillard (or her supporters) any space for serious consideration.

Gillard in boots and skirt? LOL Now that's worth the effort of a little imagination for its humour value!!! Thanks silversardine!
