I dont own any stocks. I do watch Gunns shares and noticed JPM took 7% of the company over the last month or so. So drastic was the initial purchase the ASX questioned it [response]> http://tinyurl.com/87th7ln. They are now firmly entrenched in my state and have become 7% owner of the worlds largest wood chip exporter, and one of Australia'a largest land and forest holders. so it affects everyone.

Can't find any evidence of JPM building a stake. UBS seems to be at the moment according to their announcements as well as NAB. The url you list is a price query only and that seems to be related to an update in status of the mill.

JPM does own a couple of descent stakes but as they are nominee accounts they would be owned on behalf of someone else - and that could be anyone or a mixture of anyones - individuals, super funds, investment banks etc.

However, the evil empire will own more than 7% of you beautiful state - not just of your wood chip company - have no fear of that!!
