Hi besides eBay, where can i get a jewelers loupe in Brisbane. I bought this chain but can't read the hallmarks. I'm hoping its silver!
Try your local $2 shop. You can get plastic ones that are very effective for the price which happens to be $2.
I got one of these for $10 from my local coin shop (not jtsandc): http://www.jtsandc.com/prod132.htm Or you can go all out and spend $30 or $40 on one of these: http://www.jtsandc.com/prod152.htm http://www.jtsandc.com/prod129.htm I'd really like to get a Belomo or Zeiss loupe but they are hard to get in Australia at a reasonable price The dealers I know that have these have ordered them from overseas As SilverSurfer said, pretty much every coin shop carries these same products
I'm on the Northside but..... I no longer need the loupe for now.. I tracked down the creator of these two pieces and he just replied... He's confirmed the pieces are silver and gold and I have to say I'm over the moon. I bought these two pieces for a fraction of their value. Thought they were plated. Its not your usual necklace or bracelet. And both pieces are heavy. I'll post pics in a sec.
together these two pieces weigh 240g. the body is sterling and the tail is 9 ct gold. i collect silver and love anything to do with fish i almost wet my pants when i saw these. thought they were plated.... Source: Source: Source: </end of brag>
i got it from this guy who advertised online. went to buy a ladies silver chain and ended up with these too. i got the loupe and it shows a lion and the 375 hallmarks. totally stoked.
Put "aussie sapphire" into search engine... Great business out of glen innes. I get all my gemmo stuff from them, very helpful and i like thst i can call them to chat after looking online. Shiny
