Post of the year! You got him right down to a T.

He goes on and on about being a small govt libertarian yet is most likely a public servant or associated with the public service which is kind of ironic.

On the public payroll yet spends half his day, every day, making long winded posts out of touch with reality. I wish I had his job.

So do you and bored silver know each other? You always talk of "we" in reference to his posts. Are you buddies (or maybe more?) in the real world?

You only seem to crawl out of the woodwork to defend your mate when someone has a go at his posts.

I am a member of several forums and this sort of immature crap is normally moderated.
Maybe it is normal for you to attack people personally on forums but this thread was started to discuss the OP. You know, that's what forums are for.

How am I attacking you? These are my observations. It's like you're his defence attorney or something.

And you are avoiding the question as to whether you are buddies in real life because that's how your double act comes across.

 I think you forgot to say that I'm fat, am a cat person and have a large disfiguring goiter on the left side of my neck. :p

I think you got this phrase right "You love the idea of capitalism". The many other members who have met and know me can attest to the fact that you'd better not try to make a new John Edward's TV show (although I don't think you'd beat Byron in winning his award from South Park).

So, as Maggie Thatcher used to say I presume this means we have won the debate because you have run out of points and are now resorting to personal attacks?

I don't use cryptic clues trying to appear clever, unlike you.

So are you a public servant, wasting half your day on the public payroll posting your "libertarianism" on here?

I never post here on company time,

And what is the story between silver saviour and you? It's obvious that you know each other and work in tandem to browbeat opposing views down.

Do you realise the "opposing views" is by far the overwhelming majority of political and economic opinion ? You are part of the majority attacking the minority. Well done !

Why not? Too hard for you? If not, try Viagra.

Ooh. Sneaky. Trying to get me coming and going there. No. I'm not a public servant nor am I on any sort of welfare whatsoever but I do spend a lot of unpaid time in airports, hotels and stuff travelling as part of my contributions to our society. Can guarantee that not a single minute of my time on here is paid for by the company either.

He's a fellow Libertarian (along with a few others on the forum). Of course we'd have similar views about immoral, inefficient, socialist policies. If Hawkeye was still visiting the forum I'm sure he'd be dissing the nonsense as well just like he always used to.

Oh, and except when I'm using the phone, I'm a fast typer (I can use more than two fingers and don't need the help of my tongue to help figure out what to type next).

Shame. Fred could be a good mate. I prefer guys who wear make up and goat's blood and sing in foreign languages with funny voices but he'd rather wear dresses, drink the blood of immortals while chanting dead languages.

I always find this total lack of basic thinking ability amazing, please explain why a libertarian can not work for the public service? (even though they are forced to pay taxes)

Is he also not allowed to drive on the roads, use electricity, flush his toilet etc etc? even though he is forced to pay for all of these things.

If a customer comes into my store and pays for a product and I do not give it to them I am a criminal and a thief, why doesn't the same thing apply to the government?

All supermarkets price gouge at Christmas especially with fruit and vegetables.

Is it immoral? Course not. The sheeple have to have the best food at Christmas irrespective of the price..Charge what you like, they will still buy. :(

You mean the as demand for a limited number of goods increases, the price goes up as well ?
Is that really a surprise? That is infact how prices are determined.

This comment is as incorrect as it is stupid (no offence)

To start off with you are implying that anyone who pays a higher price for things at christmas is a "sheeple". Sorry mate but that includes you. I think you will have a hard time differentiating between "sheeple" and "non sheeple" with that criteria.

Really? So if cherries were suddenly $5000/kg they would still buy ?
If wrapping paper was suddenly $400 per square inch, the "sheeple" would still buy it ?

Pretty much any time you have an increased demand you will get increased prices, thats how the market works.
If you didn't then demand would outstrip supply (which can still happen) and then more people miss out.

If prices get too high, then people stop buying. This IMMEDIATELY puts downward pressure on prices, as they find the market clearing rate

Could you please to define all "essential" items. You are also implying that your basket of "essential" items are price fixed. That's how communist countries work, and like them shortages and subsequent bankruptcies would be prolific.

What basic foods would you like price fixing on ?
Do you know how that will affect the farmers ?
