    Like 1/25ths 1/20ths and 1/10th coins?

At the moment I have been buying 1/10ths.

1/10th is the lowest I go as premiums on the other two are usually unjustifiable. Depends on mintages, design, price etc but for general bullion/bars probably best to stick with the lowest premium one you can afford.

Same here - I don't go lower than 1/10th and prefer to go no lower than 1/4. The 1/20ths I have bought - too miniscule and premium will be awkward to get back. Have to find the buyer. They're silly little things.

I bought a 0.5 gram a 1/25th and a 1/20th Perth Mint just out of curiosity (not received yet)

But the lower fractional s gave me as much pleasure as buying the 1/10ths plus 2 of them are proofs at well and under PMint issue price.

I also got a 1/4 UK proof Sov for xmas off my sister :)

I am not really into proofs and the boxes and whistles so perhaps i should stick to Bullion 1/10th and above?

What do you do with those cases and paperwork?? I prefer them in an an airtight lol

Back in the day I bought fractionals (Valcambi combi bars) with the moronic mentality that in the future there may be a time when you may need to use fractionals to barter for things. lol so nave. I've kept a few just as a reminder not to be so stupid in the future with my metal purchases.

    Even for free? :)

I think the 2009 1/4 sov proof is a bit of a novelty coin? The box and cover looks like it cost more than the coin!

So you separate your bells and whistles?

It just doesnt look the same with a box or two mixed in my airtight stash!

No I separate them but this can easily go wrong. Not so easy to match like with like 5 years down the track. Better to avoid cards boxes certs and the like I've come to think. Real pain in the A.

I am actively seeking non carded non certified capsulated gold and silver coins?

Its quite strange as I skip past the certified ones even if the price difference is small?

I would love to start collecting silver 1 oz roos but the cards put me off buying?

Perhaps I am a stacker in the making?

As for silver, in my time stacking 1kg is the new 100oz and soon (within 5-10 year even 3 maybe) 10oz will be the next 1kg.
Stacking into my future I’m stacking 5oz now for this reason. I believe when 5oz is the new 10oz (e.g $400-500 todays equivalent value) then i may finally be comfortable taking profit to fund new ventures (if they still exist). I recommend stacking to a timeline like this if not strictly holding for SHTF or inheritance. I would also advocate for a balance between low premium bullion and semi-numis (e.g. lunar bullion), followed by a vanishingly small % of speculative proofs/numis (looks how much a series I 1oz lunar tiger is fetching today!). This actually puts in-play a stimulating balance of trading/selling/buying/accumulation/flipping/HODL strategies.

I used a silver coin in lieu of the $15 entry fee to an event recently, and it was eagerly accepted, and I was asked by someone else if I had any more to sell. It certainly created a lot of interest and discussion.

I always buy fractional if it's a decent deal. Hell yes.
