I have had so many posts removed from facebook that mention this pandemic ,it is crazy town.
I am not talking about mods of pages removing stuff because they do not like it because that still leaves a trace.
I am talking about articles i have posted on even my own page getting completely removed and all traces of comment or likes left by other people are completely gone from my activity log.
Normally if stuff gets removed you have some trace in your activity log but on many things lately it is completely cleansed from existence.

I knew they did censor to some degree but this is utter rubbish.
Sure i can go to 4chan or some of those other sites that do not censor but it really isnt that meaningful to me It is just that i can not understand why this worldwide reaching site (facebook) can be allowed to have the power to only disseminate the information they think is ok when they are not considered to be publishers and the laws that are meant to protect them from being held accountable for posts people make are also the laws that should prevent them from editorial acts.
They can not have it both ways, either they are publishers that have the right to edit or they are not publishers and can not be held to account for stuff people post.
Removing news articles they do not like is WAY WAY WAY over the boundaries they had set for them , that is editorial and they are doing what ever they want regardless of the law.

I have as well, not for Covid-19 but something of importance to us stackers.

I shared an article by the Sydney Morning Herald, detailing the US fed rate cut down to 0.25% in a silver stacking group I’m a member of on Facebook. It wasn’t reported by any members, but Facebook flagged and removed it because “It goes against Community Standards on Spam”

The only thing that’s close to Spam, is the Fed Reserve themselves!

Here goes a beauty from the NZ prime minister .
In brief it says here are 2 quotes from the PM.
"You can trust us as a source of that information"
"We will continue to be your single source of truth. Everything else you see, a grain of salt"

    Directly from the horses mouth.
    OUR SINGLE SOURCE OF TRUTH???????????????????????????????????WTF.

    censorship does suck.
I guess on the upside,it will be nice to have a page where you dont have hear about this virus stuff 24/7 lol.

would be nice to jump on a social media page where you dont get depressed by world events for once ahaha.

I had the same thing happen to 4 posts I made in various community groups where I shared an article about the Australian government planning on 50k-150k deaths.

I believe it's because other group members flag your post as spam to an administrator of a group, and if the admin removes your post, you see that message.

So not Facebook, but overzealous group moderators.

Why would lamebook delete posts about covid?
In the world of fake info and news it seems the perfect distraction for the lamebook sheeple.

I had the same as GP, shared a link regarding record turn-out of Republican voters in primaries (in a very neutral way). Because of the nature of that group, I'm inclined to believe it was flagged by a member of the group and therefore removed. Same reason: “It goes against Community Standards on Spam”

Thank you but there are many forms of intelligence apart from IQ tests. One example is that I have an average IQ but I am smarter then a lot of them genius IQ scientists/people that call the Billy Meier contact case a hoax. :)

Yes apparently many people started believing drinking Indian cow urine cured Covid-19 and big pharma was killing the story.

So many people started ordering cow urine from farms in Australia and America.

Facebook thought enough is enough and banned it
