Wow Im $500 better off, geee I hope that will offset the rise across the board for the Carbon Tax, rise in electricity, water & sewerage, price of food going up, fuel, council rates, emergency services levy, medicare levy, insurance costs going up, car registration going up..................puk me I think we will all lose unless of course you earn $18,200.......and I wouldnt want to wish that on anyone, unless you live in a commune and pool all your $$$ together & live like a hippy.

This budget was shit...............they only hope to buy a few more votes, cause there scared shitless after what happend in QLD........unfortunatley this isnt going to save them in the next election one bit.

Only problem is.......the Ranga is probably better than the idiot Budgy smuggler sitting on the opposite side - Abbot has no idea................

What a sad state of affairs our political system is in, Labour - public dissalussioned with them after the Rudd shafting, the big lie from Gillard about no Carbon Tax, the home insulation debacle, now the HSU - Craig Thompson spending spree and then we have the Liberals - Abbott, who looks like friggin Prince Charles love child, talks like a dill, is surrounded by that fat bastard Hockey who has NFI - Liberals havent released any policies or costings of anything but plead with the public that everything will be better under their goverment.

    :( :( :( :(

    Not a happy voter

5cents/week better off we've just calculated at work.

    Awesome!

Increase tax-free threshold but increase tax brackets, nice move there.

It's all bull $h1t so don't get worked up about it. Just understand how the game is played and learn to play it 3 moves ahead of the fiscal numpties who think they lead us.

We should have a SS NR meeting where we all put in an oz or two for NR to keep us 3 moves ahead..... I am in. Mate, wish you lived next door so I could pick your brain every time I have a question to ask. Sometimes numpties get the numps when trying to lose their numptiness to become smarter.

Just curious ... this f... "flood levy" which we've been slogged with since 1 July 2011 and that was supposed to be "temporary" ... I has assumed that it would only be for a year, so anybody know whether we'll NOT be paying that from 1 July 2012??

jeezz I hate these barstads....

I would argue its already here. Try getting on a plane without being given the third degree, try opening a bank account. Try speaking to a silly servant in the tax office. Have a look at yesterdays budget its all welfare dressed up as fiscally responsible.

    Kind Regards

The money was put directly into general tax revenue. How much of it went to flood relief? Probably about the same amount as HSU union dues go towards helping their members.

Dont worry there will be another flood coming to you soon .............Watchout.

Oh another gripe...........Desal plants........ SA goverment says " We are increasing Water & Sewrage rates to cover the cost of the $1.8billion dollar investment"

I bet your sweet ass the rates wont come down after we the stupid tax payer pay for it ........WTF do we need a Desal plant when dams and reservoirs are at there highest peak for years. Wouldnt it be smart to harvest all the stormwater, recycle or treat this water and then use for consumption in some way, shape or form?

Desal plants cost a shitload in power, so the poor tax payer has to foot the bill................bet your ass SA Water dont pay the power tariffs we pay grrrrrrrrrrrr

Paul Cacia (Water minister for SA), trust me bud I wont be swerving if I see you on a road somewhere :(
