I am looking at purchasing two "silver" bars from a guy that says his grandfather bought them in hong kong. I have tried to look them up on Google and ebay to see if they are the real deal or not, but can't seem to find any photos of them anywhere. Could you please help out a newbie by trying to identify if they are real?
Going by the information provided, I can only conclude that you can get good pork buns from Hong Kong....
If in doubt don't buy it. Sounds like a scam. Just buy your Bullion from reputable sources. Why would you want to take a risk on those silver bars from Hong Kong when you can buy from a bullion dealer risk free??? I rate the deal as an AVOID.
He is asking half spot price, probably too good to be true. Thanks, I won't take the risk. They are on gumtree.com.au at the moment with photos. Link to the seller is as follows: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/kelvin-grove/other-antiques-art-collectables/silver-coins-/1083978932
Paying an extra dollar or two to use a reputable dealer is well worth it. Congrats & welcome to the board!
