I guess it is a little late.... Apologies. Hello everyone. This forum is officially my favorite. Great people, good conversation, and a killer trading network. I've never seen so much silver changing happy hands. Anyway... My name is Derrick (clearly), 26, currently residing just outside of Chicago, Illinois, USA. I'm a financial journalist. I inherited the PM bug from my late grandfather who was a big believer in financial freedom and precious metals (stacking and numismatics). After liquidating most of his collection to assist my grandmother with living expenses, I started to form my own interest in metals. A few years went by as an active trader, and now I am officially a stacker. I stumbled across this forum as I was looking for more information on the lovely Kookaburras. Since joining I've established some great trading relationships, and I've made some friends as well. Hopefully as time passes this trend will continue. If you're ever looking for something from the States, feel free to ask. I attend local shows monthly. Thanks to everyone I've dealt with so far. Hi Derrick! It's great to have contacts in the USA & vice versa, a mutually benifical trade system. SilverStackers is my favourite forum also, it's taken me from a hobby to something abit more & I really enjoy it! The wealth of information here & trade has helped me build & have more direction. I'm glad I found it - better late than never!

This forum ( and 2-3 more websites inc eBay ) represent 95% of my online time. Infact, i havent been watching TV since the floods here in QLD in Jan 2011. I get all the news filtered here on SS. Also, its great that the trades have worked out well between all the parties involved.

I wouldn't mind being a dealer, but I would need a lot more free time, and I'd have to charge higher prices...right now I am covering my costs and just using the group buys to buy our items at volume to save us all a few cents. I'm also a bit worried about PayPal cracking down on me. If I start doing this on a weekly basis I will have to have all the payment go through the commercial transfers and that will tack on 4% instantly to everyone's order. I don't know what will be next. Probably another Scottsdale Omnia order since so many people are showing interest in those still. I'd like to do the stackables, but I would need prepayment on those before placing the order and I don't know how many people would do that.
