Hey yall once again this is a noobs thing here for any new stackers that have yet to figure out what kind the are.
I'm sure there's a relatively large list of em as well but anyone that posts a type of stacker I ask that you give a brief definition of it so new stackers can see if they fit it !

Hi, I think it's interesting and fun. I believe it may be a way of holding some wealth over lifes rocky bits. An accountant lecturer I work wit said recently, Gold and silver are mainly good if theres a huge crisis, seemed a good explaination to me. Lots other reasonings , but you lays your bets and take your chances., good management.

I find thre are many types of stackers and the boundaries between them are a bit blurry, not forgetting to mention that as people learn more their stacking tastes change.

It might be a nice exercise to come back every year or so and see how your stacking habits and viewpoints have changed over time.

    My general list is:

The wealth preserver type - just sees metals as a hedge against inflation
The short term flipper - will look for current good deals and happy to make a buck or two quickly.
The long term stacker - Thinks metals are currently undervalued so is buying, plans to sell the lot when metals are overvalued (in their opinion of course)
The zombie apocalypse stacker - Thinks the world will melt down, all fiats will crash and metals will be the safest/best form of currency.

    One more for the list:

The ANTI-stacker (more correctly, the "dickhead"): Patrols the forums looking for stackers to berate for their stupidity in buying gold and silver. Most likely to have bought into gold and silver at the peak and now is bitter and disillusioned. Reacts furiously when they find someone enjoying stacking. The ANTI-stacker will rejoin the forum under a different name when prices recover and will panic-buy as the up-trend accelerates.

Hey you know the insults for people we like are different to the insults we dish up for people we dont like. If your not a d! Ckhead then the insult is meant in a good way but if you are then not.

That's how us c_nts in Australia do it :)

Once you get it, and play the friendly insult game back, you're granted citizenship.

If you get offended, and make yourself the victim, you end up in a detention centre and get deported.

NB: the above only applies if you traveled here in something that isn't a marine vessel.

    I noticed another type.

The Dingo Stacker: Not really interested in stacking but wanders into the forum now and then for a bit of a look around, takes a dump on someone then wanders off after pissing on a few threads to mark his territory.

The dingo stacker is probably a bit old and cranky to be doing any rooting.

I think that's the Seagull Stacker.

Flies in, makes a lot of noise, cr@ps on everything and then flies off.

That sort of individual is not a stacker at all....but rather a stalker.

So the more appropriate name would be Stacker Stalker .

    Uncle Scrooge stacker:
Stacks as an alternative to a savings account. Always checks spot price and goes for the lowest premium. Not interested in selling on the short term. Will only sell in case of personal emergency or for when SHTF, otherwise will pass on stack to next gen. Stacks mostly bullion, but will buy numismatic now and then if coin is special enough and the price is right. Sometimes even gets plated coins/replicas, just for the art.
