Its not really a mystery, you're jabbed for sure... It's sad for you and your family, however on the plus side maybe the next moderator of silverstackers.com will actually be a stacker and not a crypto/stocks guy who doesn't own any physical silver.

There’s that politics and ideology again.. stacking is like flies on shit for that. Carry on, you won’t be the first or last, in fact that welll-trodden path looking more like a trench now :D

    What a load of crap!
You invest in what you like and hopefully make a return.
    Pretty elementary.

We have had many excellent people here over the years.
    All stackers of some sort.
Still alot of good people who like the shiny stuff, being Gold, Silver, Jewellry, Watches and many other interests.

Interesting you take a dig at crypto just because it is a wild west out there.
    Have you ever bought any?

Why have a jibe at Shiney?
He has done a great job keeping this forum alive.
If this forum had just been purely about Silver and nothing else,
this forum would have been dead years ago.

    We ar not the US.

On SLV the monthly macd is close to a roll over but it might need to drop back and retest the 200 daily and weekly lines first.

I think its going back for a retest.

I use metal as a bank account because then I own what's mine not a bank.
The primary use of this forum as I can tell is as a physical trading platform. It's odd that the moderator doesn't own any.

Yes, I brought some over time, sold it all for healthy gains that I've put into silver.

I'm not saying it should be only about silver.
I don't understand why someone with no interest in stacking silver would want to moderate silverstackers.com.

Silverstacking is pretty well tied to a political ideology of independence and not trusting of institutions, not surprising at all.

Shiney has his own strategies as we all do and i like the diversity of SS.
I think hes half nuts sometimes but hes always consistent so theres more to it and thats mod material.

Hell i even want a nice watch now and my wife is pissed about it haha. I tell her she can always go live with momma.

What would you guys recommend around 2-3k between Omega and Rolex or whatever is good.
Something I can hold onto for 10 or 20 years and wear on occasion.

Seems like a watch would be a nice "off grid" diversity and it can also tell me what time it is at 300M below sea level.

Yeah you're not wrong. Metals are a source of fundamental truth whether people get hurt over that fact or not is up to them.
I think metals should be an interest and accessible to all, not because of distrust in institutions but distrust of humanity and vulnerability to corruption itself. Henceforth why it should be considered insurance, primarily.

The fact that there will always be a subset of the population that dislikes, distrusts or flat out rejects social, corporate or political structures means that metals will always be a home-base for those actively promoting and sowing the seeds of their destruction. I'm not for or against this. Of course, I personally want freedom, guns, drugs and all the good stuff but most ideology left and right can straight up suck my ass. Power corrupts and always will. Those advocating ideology are just advocating for alternative or existing power structures. Who do I trust with power if I don't even trust myself? God, potentially. But I'm an atheist. Au and Ag metals I can trust, it's as close to God as a simple man can get.

So what do I think of the absolutists? Well one side would like to take LSD and weave baskets on a commune, sharing organic food and each other's breast milk before the full-moon orgies (e.g. Osho/orange people).
Whilst the other side want to live in fortified compounds, home school their kids and live without surveillances under their own law or the laws of their faith defended by heavy arms (e.g. The QLD cop-killers who I'm surprised aren't being hero-worshiped by some here). Both sides almost want the same thing. One suffers from idealism the other from paranoia.

Depending on my mood I could enjoy both ways of life. Both of these lifestyles and ideologies have more in common than you think, and time-and-time again demonstrate a failed launch, gifting us with nothing more than power fuelled death and destruction on unimaginable scales. So when I see it, even if it's in it's weakest and meekest form - I gnash my teeth at it because it's just a demon waiting to be summoned, to explode in frenzied gorge of our weaknesses, our humanity and our future.

Omega if all you're after is that sweet feeling you get deep down inside your cockles that you've made a quality purchase.

Rolex is you want to impress bogans, influencers, pimps and those particularly annoying people you get in shopping centres that want to stop you mid-life to and try to con you out of your hard-earned $$ for some kid with cancer* or saving pods of stranded pilot whales**.

Buy 2nd-hand. There was a good watch thread here once, not sure if it's still around.

You've made your point but you're OT, fortunately my "Tolerance" bucket is just as full as my "Don't give a shit what you think bucket." ;)

If you want to discuss the origins of SS or what the mod may have bought, sold, intends to buy, held, lost or just drools over what he possibly will never be able to afford then I suggest to start another thread or 2 in the member's general discussion section .

If you want to keep posting here it would be really nice if you just got back on topic which is - "How much steam is left in the PM trade?"

This episode of Forward Guidance is spot on topic here. Yang's model suggests that the recession has just begun (beginning of January), if correct the implications for silver could be enormous (? maybe too strong ?), if past recessionary periods are to go by. If that is the case then maybe we've seen the highs for the foreseeable future and this correction is not of the consolidating kind, but rather the early days of a capitulation (? maybe too strong ?).

Anyway, I'll be watching my buy zone for confirmation of a bounce within the range.

There's also something in the vid for those of us more interested in gold.

@DJE this was the mob I told you to check out the other day. ;)

Do you guys think watch prices are high right now or low, and will they deflate like other luxury items?
Maybe some sales coming up in that area ya think?

Have not watched this yet. But my gold portfolio (junior and mid-tier) has been steadily creeping up last 8 weeks, not really from increased volume but just a lot less selling and sell orders being pulled. Definitely a trend change but no idea how sustainable. Maybe just the tide going out before the tidal wave takes everyone back down !

Yeh, he lays out a very brief case why investors should be overweight gold. He mentions it twice in the broadcast.

Silver bounced off my buy zone, I wonder what it will do over the next few weeks? Gold is still some 3.5% above my buy zone. US core PCE out on Friday.

Gold is looking good especially at AUD $71. Should the USD rise significantly faster than spot gold may drop, selling Aussie gold in the lull may turn a quick profit.

Watch the Blockworks Macro video above for a brief discussion on the USD and gold. Yang does not see a case for a rising USD. If you don't want to watch the whole lot starting at the chapter "Underweight on equities" should get you near the discussion.
