How much is an ounce of silver worth? post here the most ridiculous prices you come across for items sold.

I will start it off with a one-ounce silver coin that has just sold on eBay for $1750!

It is a 2018 1 oz silver coin featuring the dingo issued by the Perth Mint for the tiny island nation of Tuvalu.

The funny thing is that it is not even a rare issue with 5,000 minted.

I think I am in the wrong game waiting for my bullion 1 oz silver coins to reach $1000 each:p

I like Perth Mint Poured 1oz silver ingot, they can go up to USD 1,000 depending on who is buying

    Guaranteed.

These NFT's of a chewed on donut were the same price as your 1 oz silver bullion last month.

I have been busy rummaging through my stacks of modern numismatic coins as I had a feeling I might have this dingo coin myself.

But alas not to be, the only coins in the Danger series I managed to locate are the crocodile and the box jellyfish.

These two coins are just as rare as the dingo with a mintage of 5,000 coins each also.

If anybody is interested, I only want $200 each for them.;)

Maybe somebody smarter than I can explain why there is such a fluctuation in the prices of these coins if they all had the same mintage?
( and this was not a one-off price for this coin, another one sold for $1700 a couple of months ago )

The new 100th Anniversary 2021 US silver dollars at 85 bucks is a complete rip off for less than 20 in silver.
I'm a silver dollar addict but I'm more of a penny pinching ounce stacker so I'll wait until I find one cheap someday.
I like the old stuff much better anyway.

Isnt this more akin to silver collectibles and don't really have any relations to silver "bullion" investments?

Much like $1000 plus like Magic: The Gathering cards, it is plastic coated paper.

ie these are prices paid by collecters who have a different value consideration.

I assume they were 1 or 2 ounces and not the kilo ones, Serial;), come on what numbers were they, tell us, were they like No1 or
are there some other special numbers that we less informed stackers should be looking out for?

Well done spanner, I think you win the bragging rights on here with that silver trade.

If anyone can personally beat that then please share with the rest of us.

well can easily beat that if you include numismatic coins, eg 12grams of silver for $14k. but 1 oz rounds for $3800 is hard to beat
    the 93 1oz silver issue
1993 Silver One Ounce Kookaburra Uncirculated Coin Perth Mint Exhibition Opening
Described as being the rarest of all of the Kookaburra issues to date, This coin was issued in a green presentation case with numbered certificate which states "This is one of 200 One Ounce 1993 Australian Kookaburra silver bullion coins specially minted and presented to mark the official opening of the recommissioned Perth Mint and Perth Mint Exhibition on 8 December, 1993".
