im sorry your wrong if china wanted to forcefully take twaian now there is nothing that taiwan could do

right now china could take taiwain in a couple of days at the most with their current capabilities

How do you envisage China do that?

Think it through how would China send troops to Taiwan, in cargo ships and frerries and cargo tankers without getting torpedoed?

How would Chinese navy defend their naval ships from aerial attack?

Does China even have a 20 fighters that can fly to Taiwan and fight over Taiwan for 30 minutes at the moment?

Ie How many Chinese made or Russian bought fighters can fly to Taiwan dog fights for 5 minutes and make it back to mainland China without running out of fuel?

    Does China have aerial refueling?

Does Chinese navy have the 30 ships that can even make it Taiwan?

And you think China can invade Taiwan today?

Don’t get me wrong if China wanted to Use nuclear ICBM they can wipe out Taiwan potentially they can potentially mutually wipe out USA but that’s a different strategy.

lol areial refuelling -- your joking right -- you lost all credibility once you said this wouldnt even be a consideration when china takes over taiwain maybe you need to geography more

and yes I think China could invade today and take the entire island in under a day -- without the use of Nukes

its not making sense, cos people who comment does not understand the situations
before the Korean talks a lot of consideration about the north using nuke to attack the south, but it is not the reality
civil wars have never been civil, it is just referring to civilians warring one another (we call them non army combatants today)
the reality is never owe a Chinese debt and not paying it, they will kill you for the default
if a debt re-set is in your mind about not paying the debt, then you must be brain dead, as in head not connected to the body :)
wars have been fought for much less

Although unlikely, I won't rule it out 100% either. It may seem like suicide, but Pearl Harbor was a suicide mission too. It's difficult to think when yoiu head is in the clouds.

Pearl Harbor was pushed to the Japanese as a challenge, if you are the most powerful why not try dropping bombs there???
the General took it up, but the planning was cracked by the US, and the attacked was expected.
hence only junks were destroyed, it was made to look like the US did not know this
3000 lives of soldiers were lost, remember 911 also claimed similar numbers
were there red moons too, you bet
its like a reason was sought for the live test of big boys to proof the ruler of the world
    its all in the planning

I wouldn't underestimate the Taiwanese. They have a reason to fight (to defend their democracy) while the Chinese soldiers got no reason at all.

Why North Korea doesn't invade South Korea? Because most of their soldiers will defect if they cross over to the other side.

The Chinese military does not have a single officer with battle experience. No admirals or ships officers who have ever fought a naval battle. No pilots who have ever been shot at. Their entire officer class are just people in impressive uniforms with no job experience.

The USA has a military that for all of it’s current issues has a long history of fighting in hot wars and it has a deep well of knowledge and experience in dealing with little islands in the Pacific region and it’s senior brass have direct experience in dealing with the ever shifting chaos of an actual war theatre. The US military knows how to kill and knows how to deal with an enemy that is trying to kill them.

China may have some few technological advantages currently but their land based military is useless as it can’t be deployed and it’s real purpose isn’t to fight foreign wars, it is designed to keep the Chinese population in line for the Party.

So that leaves the Chinese navy and Air Force. They may have shiny copies of American and British uniforms and shiny copies of American command structures and equipment (cultural appropriation anyone?) but that’s all they have and if it did come down to a hot war with the USA just watch how quickly political divisions in the US are set aside and the business of genuine battle begins. Even in its present state the US military is formidable.

I was standing outside Trump Tower in New York about half an hour ago and took this pic. Its probably not much to do with how much longer Trump may last or not but im here and he has plenty of fire power on the streets. Security is everywhere with big guns, big police and plenty of Secret Service members

Yes just another day in the Big Apple.

NYPD had about 45,000 members about ten years ago now down to "just" 35,000

I am guessing New York would have more police than Australia put together, probably the safest city in the world

I reckon that cop in your photo has the safest job in the city this side of being killed by boredom :D and of course carrying an AR 15

    Enjoy your trip :)

New York would have to be one of the safest cities in the world if not the safest

New York would also have more police than Australia put together I would think

That cop would have one of the safest jobs in the city, boredom would be his most likely course of death :D

Nolte: Networks Refuse to Cover Senate’s ‘No Russia Collusion’ Report
    AFP/Brendan Smialowski

The same networks that spent 2,202 minutes of collective airtime to push the Russia Collusion Media-Hoax are refusing to cover the Senate Intelligence Committee bipartisan report, which found no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The Media Research Center (MRC) did the research and found that between January 21, 2017, and February 10, 2019, “ABC’s World News Tonight, the CBS Evening News, and the NBC Nightly News [spent] 2,202 minutes on the Russia investigation [, which] accounted for nearly 19 percent of all Trump-related reporting [, and now] none of those three shows have even mentioned the investigation since NBC’s report came out on February 12.”

The same is true elsewhere on the left-wing networks.

“Neither CBS This Morning nor NBC’s Today have even acknowledged this new information from Senate investigators since the news broke on February 12,” MRC reports. “ABC’s Good Morning America briefly touched on it in a news brief totaling less than one minute on February 13.”

What’s especially fascinating is that NBC’s Ken Dilanian broke the original news of the Senate report, and NBC is still refusing to cover the story.

The reasons for this are quite obvious: the media know a reckoning is on the horizon, and they are buying time in the hopes of finding a way to wriggle out of it.

Anyone with even a lick of sense knew from the beginning that the Russia Collusion Media-Hoax was a hoax. Not only is the whole idea of it preposterous; everything involving Russia and the Trump campaign points to the opposite of a conspiracy. Look at the Trump Tower meeting. If there was a conspiracy between Trump and the Kremlin, why was Rob Goldstone, a British publicist, needed as an intermediary to set up the meeting?

If there was all this collusion between Trump and Putin, why was Michael Cohen left to send proposals to blind email addresses regarding the proposed Trump Tower deal in Moscow?

Even the stuff we are told is the most “sinister” proof of collusion points in the opposite direction.

But that is not what the media have been telling us for the last two years.

Rather, again and again and again, they have promised that Watergate is right around the corner, that the other shoe is about to drop (and please ignore the fact that the first shoe has yet to drop); have told us not to worry because the aberrational nightmare, the virus in the system, the national mistake that is President Trump is about to be removed.

For two years the media have been selling the Resistance a bill of goods and have gone so far as to manufacture a mountain of fake news to keep these suckers on the hook.

So, no, they are not going to cover a bipartisan report that debunks their hoax, especially one as detailed as this one, that involved two years, 200 interviews, and a gazillion documents.

The thinking goes: Mueller might still save us!

Trump tells Venezuela military to back Guaido or 'lose everything'
    Read more at https://www.channelnewsasia.com/new...ry-to-back-guaido-or-lose-everything-11257048

they don't see that Trump as their commanding in chief, just shoot this chief
aid coming in millions, confiscated funds in billions
    wow
once the aid is in, Maduro must burn all of this
it looks like a war between the military vs the oppositions would be short and deadly

I found this interesting, especially regarding numbers. A very tight and to the point primer on the battlefield Trump is fighting on.
