I dont know about you guys but when I see a large power having trouble brew right at its borders, the first place i look is the opposite side of the world.

The Clinton Foundation and DNC spend a lot of money in HK funding "democracy".

I may have said this elsewhere on the forum, but I believe this will go the way of 30 years ago as it did in Tiananmen Square. The students are now protesting for the sake of protest. They will not get killed, but they will get themselves killed!

There seems to be no stop to Hong Kong's rebellion against any fundamental changes with protestors attacking a police station overnight o_O with the embarrassment of the Chinese government continuing :D

I am now wondering how much of this is being staged by the Chinese government to give them "permission" to enforce their will because China will rule in Hong Kong sooner than later so it seems.

Will this end quickly, peaceably and soon I don't think so

    HONG KONG IN ONE MINUTE

A lot of people from all over are asking me about Hong Kong. After all it's one of my previous homes. I developed a complex relationship with HK ever since the 1997 handover, which I covered extensively. Right now, I prefer to cut to the chase.

THERE WON'T BE A BLOODY MAINLAND CHINA CRACKDOWN ON HONG KONG. PERIOD.

WHY? BECAUSE IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

Beijing clearly sees the Big Picture provocation inbuilt in the protests. Hong Kongers may be right to be angry about what is a de facto Tycoon Club oligarchy controlling almost 100% of the economy. Life for the average Hong Konger is far from glamourous. Then there's the invasion of the mainlanders. And the Cantonese vs. Beijing cultural war.

What these protests have accelerated is Beijing's conviction that HK is not worth its trust as a key node in China's integration/development - even considering the Greater Bay Area project. So HK will be left to its own internally corroding devices - slowly degrading to its final tawdry status of a Chinese Disneyland with a Western veneer.

Shanghai will be boosted as China's top financial center. And Shenzhen as the top high-tech hub. HK will be an afterthought.

The FBI has hired a retired senior investigator in Australia to look at Gillard as part of their current investigation into the Clinton Foundation. She bought herself the Chair of one of their shady charities with taxpayer money funnelled to the foundation.

Just to add into the mix, Downer was Foreign Minister when Aust started giving $ to the Clinton Foundations and his name is getting quite some airtime re his role in passing on info that kicked off the Russia investigation.

Hong Kong is a province of China. They should be ruled under Chinese rule.
Though Chinese government are pussies, much to learn how to quell an uprising or getting rid of dissidents from Democratic South Korean government, ie Gwangju Massacre

Interesting discussion this via The Epoch Times.

Old mate being interviewed is quite the hawk on China but logical in his assessment.

I beg to differ, the interview is very objective, not hawkish at all, unlike Russian backed propaganda like ZH that had been trying fan discord between China and the US.

The Epoch Times is a mouthpiece for the 'Falun Daifai/Falun Gong' cult.

The publisher bend over backwards claiming the two has no formal association, but the founders and editorial staff are all FG members.

    re: Hong Kong

A misguided subculture of unemployed radicals smashing windows, spraying graffiti, blocking subways and putting up ersatz barricades on roads is not capable of accomplishing anything other than inconveniencing the people of HK - especially when they seem to have no coherent goals or strategy.

The local government of the SAR will pass the extradition laws as well an additional package of internal security/counterintelligence measures, with the full confidence and support of the Central Government in Beijing. These laws will be faithfully enforced with the law enforcement agencies of the SAR.
