Hello all.. new year has not started well for me. Some of you know me and have traded with me and know my integrity in trading. Last night our home was broken into and all my coins and bars were stolen. Police have been and done what they can and are taking their investigation further. I am now reaching out to my fellow stackers and asking that you be on the look out for any dodgy offloads. I am still reeling over this low act but will soon have a comprehensive list of the pieces and post it on this site. But in total 80oz of gold and 75kg of silver from my home which was in a safe in Brisbane.

While I understand that it is hard to determine for sure if pieces are stolen, even if you only have an inkling that there is something dodgy, please pass on the details as a matter of urgency. these B@#$%#^#$ have stolen my life savings and screwed with my future plans.

Keep safe and thank you for reading this post.

Wow this is really worrying. Two people on this forum so far as much as I hate to say, it could be likely the thief was someone who you have traded with in person.

Wow mate. That's really tragic. Damn, dunno what to say. I really feel for you and it is a worry two stackers were done in Brisbane.
That's a damn big haul. Will keep a lookout although I haven't traded with anyone for months.

Shit a brick absolutely horrible news Lunty.

That's now 3 in the Brisbane area within 6 months.

You might want to get in touch with the other member most recently robbed and see if there were any similarities.
Thread was in the members only area so won't post the forum name but if you search for 'robbery' you will find it.

My condolences are with you and I hope the police catch these low life scum.

Reading these types of posts is the reason why I refuse to keep precious metals at home.

Now I know why I pay $400 a year in Safe Custody fees.

The only thief that can get at it is the Government!

    Condolences.

Bloody hell, crazy stuff I really do not understand the mindset of these pricks breaking into people's houses. Biggest bit of advice talk to everyone in the street, go knocking on doors and ask if they saw anyone, cars etc anything suspicious at all.

I tracked down the people who stole a motorbike by doing that.

Ask if any of your neighbours have security cameras that face the road and ask to see the footage. See if you can get any rego numbers or people walking.

I hope you track the pricks down.

OMG.sorry x10. Insane!!. I knew someone whom incurred a silver theft here in Sydney. It was probably an acquaintance of that person, as a personal silver coin gift with an engraving was left on the mantle in plain sight.

I hope the thief is duly caught and locked up for a long long time. Was the safe broken into or simply removed from the house?.

Dont think it is best to discuss in a public forum.
What if it involves inside job? eg one of us. Ever thought of that.
Leave it to the pro to solve this.
