Hi just wondering can someone especially with actual experience on claiming home theft insurance for silver/gold metal/coins.
Which company(and product) is easier for claiming? Do I need photograph every coins(most of time don’t keep receipts)? What insurance need when claiming? How to put value for insured? How to claim and put value when theft/house broke in?
As collectors, tend to lost count what do I have with boxes all around few places at home, worst with habit of buying/selling over long period of time.
I reckon cheaper to buy home content insurance compared with bank safe deposit box.
    Any advise?

I'd see an insurance broker to get those questions answered.

It might be cheaper, but I reckon it's best not to be robbed at all, so my preference would be a SDB.

yeah youd have to list each item out, same as is done for jewellery and will pay a premium based on total value so wont be worth it.
