You say it's unmanipulated yet if a few people hold large quantities of coins (mostly Chinese from what I've been able to gather), aren't they able to manipulate the price by dumping and buying back in?

I'm pretty sure it can be manipulated, just as how some altcoins have that pump and dump going on.

The first quantum computer created will make the owner of that computer bitcoin king.

According to online reports it would appear the Chinese already have a quantum computer, thought I doubt it's being used for BC mining. Yet.

Maybe government, but once a private person gets access, bitcoins mining will be exhausted overnight lol.

Question is when do I sell now or $10,000 lol.

A Billion dollars a day is flowing into cryptos at the moment https://hacked.com/cryptocurrency-value-growing-1-billion-per-day/
That is crazy and all this while BTC's % of the market capitalization is falling.
ETH LTC and everything is going completely mental if you buy and hodl for a few weeks you cant lose......Untill you do.
I am thinking it will be a Bull year for All crypto, even if BTC price gets a big correction down to $1000 again all that money will move to Alts.
Poloniex has delays in verifying accounts due to the influx of new one's so it does seem to have grabbed the attention of a lot of people.

Also another interesting analysis. Though you might hit the paywall if you already read the first one.. https://hacked.com/analysis-ethereum-run-bitcoin-surpasses-1600-ripple-litecoin/

    Yeah.
Shite myself when i looked in my wallet.
The original $150 i spent 2 years ago went to 4k 2 weeks ago and i swapped 60 0z od silver for a bitcoin last week at 1750 value. 2200 today nut i had spead that across ltc and dash.
    Now got a 6k wallet.
I feel i should bail now and get my silver weight back.
Or do i sell the treasure chest for btc and crypto it.
The metal hasnt done much for me in growth for a while.
    Tough choice.

It's prudent to be spread across many assets, It's not likely you will ever see the sort of returns on silver as cryptos for the next few years at least, and if your spread across BTC and top Alts the money never leaves it just goes between the two. But silver offers physical storage or wealth that BTC will never give you

Yup so true, how one would think BTC isn't a ponzi currency, lol. At the moment I'm in it and my only ? is when do I start jumping off.

All good but problem with gold is the same when the power grid is down, who will accept gold?

99% of population and 99% of shops won't accept shiny metal.
I doubt we could walk into Coles and pay for stables with gold, and don't think dealers will pay us cash for gold at spot.

In extended power outage gold would only be a little better bitcoin. Would be interesting to see what gold was like when Hurracaine Catarina hit Atlanta, I reckon if there were good stories where gold aided in survival the pumper would have been all over it, and the fable of gold would be pumped for survalist.

I guess it depends on whether you buy PM's in a prepping for the reset or just as an investment. BTC wont be a lot of good in a proper SHTF survival situation
But I could see the value in having BTC in Venezuela currently as well as gold.

As long as you saved enough for the crisis started 20 years ago.
But for a SHTF no need for gold or btc, AR15 and plenty of bullets.

Also ask yourself, what are bitcoins actually being used for?
The answer is of course not as a currency for goods and services, it's almost all just speculation and moving virtual money around trying to make a profit. This will not end well.
