Russian famous actors in 1996 were heavily paid for the ads in which they asked to vote for Eltsin even he was very very ill and liked to drink alcohol lol So I think nowadays history repeats in USA. PS I have nothing against dirty tricks in politics as it is already a dirty thing ;-)) And I think Trump will have a very strong opponent to Putin. Trump is not "a little boy", he is much smarter.

The arts were long ago captured by the Left. It's quite hard picking out any musician or actor who openly supports conservative politics. This is possibly because those that do, can't admit it, because it could damage their career, rather like publicly-funded science, where it's often career suicide to 'deny' climate change. But I'm quite happy for well-paid actors to do this sort of thing, not least because it lets us know who the hypocrites are (those who love to wear their superior morality very openly, lecturing us about equality and caring for the poor while flying between their mansions in private jets). I think growing numbers of people are becoming aware of who the 'elites' really are and pushing back against their overbearing, undemocratic control.

I think that is over simplistic, actors are just like any cross section of community they support what they want and believe. They just have to have enough conviction to publicly say something. There are plenty of climate sceptic from every-side of politics and life in general. Plus Americans have had many entertainers jump on the bandwagon in both sides of main stream politics very publicly. In fact in USA they often crossed the line and put their hand up to become candidates. Clint Eastwood, Arnie, Bruce Willis, Sly Stallone, the hulk, the rock and Ronnie to name the bigger ones. Now lets wait and see if Trumps supporters can gather the troops and come up with something better
