Jim Lowell has sold his silver.

David Morgan calls for a correction.

Stellaconcepts announces today a correction coming.

    SilverSale says...

This market is going MUCH HIGHER! =)

P.S. I am not an investment advisor - just a smart little cookie (most of the time).

HAI: You were big on silver last year. But you sold off all your positions recently. What made you change your mind?

Jim Lowell, editor ofFidelity Investor: Any time anything goes up over 100 percent inside of a 12-month time frame, I ask myself whether it's going to get better or worse ahead.

We put silver into our model portfolios back in March or April of last year with a very bullish call, using the ProShares Ultra Silver ETFAGQ. Since we purchased it, that position had risen about 178 percent enough to, in and of itself, trigger some gains-taking.

But back then, I didn't just buy the ProShares Ultra Silver ETF. I paired it with the ProShares Ultra Short GoldGLL ETF. So what I was really doing was making a bearish call on gold, but saying that I thought I was probably early on that call, and wanted to offset it with a good enough hedge. So that, if I was wrong, I'd be able to still come out ahead.

Net-net, that pairing gave us about a 58 percent return. Gold was up about 26 percent last year. So this year, the sale of silver was triggered by taking gains, but also, I wanted to get out of gold just wholesale. I just wanted to be out of the metal. Because gold, of course, has no real industrial applications the way silver does. You can't build a catalytic converter without silver, for example.

At these levels, you've really got to ask yourself what will propel gold much higher. And, if gold can't go much higher, then silver really can't either, since it trades as a multiple on the fear trade of gold.

Spanks Intelligencer...and you too SilverSale for digging it up.

Point of order though... I think he's getting platinum and silver mixed up when it comes to catalytic converters!

EXCELLENT... I'm looking to buy more!!

I just sounds so crazy to be talking about an expected fall in price when physical shortages are still present.

Bless the fraudulent bank-sters, without them silver would have been too expensive for me to ever afford to invest.

Well said cobber, and what about gold at a mere $1300-$1400/oz... in practical terms it's never been cheaper in history...and it's all thanks to our bank-ster buddies thinking that by devaluing PM's they'll get us to despise them. Like you said, bless their silly, incompetant greedy little black hearts.

I was explaining the high GSR to a group of friends yesterday & they were starting to take a lot of notice. Even so, they still reckon I'm a Silver Nerd with a loose screw. :p

    correction......
when i read someone predicting a 'correction' in the price of silver I alway feel like a retard for not knowing which way it will correct?
    Correct downwards - overbought
    Correct upwards - manipulation failing.

either way, it can correct all it wants. Silver is always correcting. thats all it ever does.

Id be very confused about true self-worth if I was a little silver kookaburra.

As forecast, gold facing strong downside pressure. Tested $1360 & bounced back. If breaks below, sharp correction. Gold $2000 forecast holds.

Cat converters are processed in India.NO WAY would we ever refine cat converters here , TO TOXIC.
Old cat converters sell for $40 for an Aussie built vehicles, up to $70-$100 for Japanese built cars.
