    A friend of mine encouraged me to join this site as he felt it would be an education for me and has urged me to invest in gold and silver on numerous occasions in the past! (You know who you are! :p)

    Sooooo.....let's see what there is to be learned. ;)

    Hello all what a great site. I have only been involved with Silver since Nov last year but I have managed to collect a touch over 1800 ounces so far. Started buying at the Perth Mint until they ran out, then got some coins off ebay and got the bug. Lots of good stuff to read here.

    Sorry LadyBird I thought I was starting my own hello post. I don't have too much nouse on forums so I'm sorry to intrude.


    Hi MatrixOpals. I started buying silver last Nov after reading all of the hype about exploding prices etc, bought a few grands worth of Bullion each week and just kept stacking it up, then about a month ago after I stood often in the long lines at the Pert Mint I was told no more for 3 months so I bought some Gold but it didn't feel the same. That was 2 days before the bum dropped out of the price, so I went to ebay and a few US mint sites and started buying coins and rounds, thats when the bug bit, about 800oz (or coins) ago.
    Another member here turned me on to an Aus site last night and I got a stack of 1oz Koala's so it looks like it's back to buying in Aus. The way I see it is that if I invest money in Silver then the wife can't waste it on clothes. It would be nice to see it head back to the $50 mark though.:D This site was a great find.

    I wish I had 'a few grand' spare each week to invest as you describe. :S And, no, I don't spend all my cash on clothes (before anyone suggests that! :p )

    And no problem about sharing the thread. :)

    Anyway, pardon my ignorance and I have had a look at the forum rules but I can find nothing that answers this question for me...
