    Love it.

He's certainly lived up to his 'mad monk' moniker.

Careful you guys n girls, if you get your panties twisted up any tighter your liable to bust an appendix or something more important.

Duke of Edinburgh awards have seen over 700,000 young Australians complete an award under this program that has run for over fifty years now.

Did the Knighthood cost us anything ? Affect the economy ? Impinge on the running of the country ? Change Life at all ?

Much ado about SFA really, but....please don't let that stop you shouting about your outrage over ???

    Southerncross.

Have to agree. Ever since the Queen's man sacked Whitlam all that Republican nonsense has thankfully been out of the news (apart from when John Howard managed to send it off to committee of course).

Much better to be part of England than adrift in Asia as some sort of banana republic.

    ;)

Dick move or masterful distraction? Gonna have to check what went unreported... new draconian laws? Maybe Phil just needed some good press to balance the Saville linked pedo allegations...

It's too late now but I think we should of integrated the commonwealth a lot more than we have.

One thing I will never accuse you of Jules is a lack of personal integrity or of weakness in your conviction. I might not agree with your point of view sometimes, but you have always given me food for thought upon my own. Not to mention a bit to chew on when weighing up our differences of opinion.
Sometimes I think we are not too far apart in ideology where it really matters but then.... you just piss me off with your next off the wall hippy post.

Still love you long time though. :)

    Thank you sir.
And mutual. As someone's sig says, if we're all thinking the same we're not really thinking.
I like reading all the opinions here, even those I'd send off for re-education! :)
The hippie stuff is because of the mushrooms.

I like my Gold tops dried in an oven well below 100 celcious so as not to destroy the imbued journey.
A lot of people here wouldn't know what that means.

That's not their fault tho. They just don't get it.

It is not whether or not Phil the Greek deserved to be knighted or not, it is the fact that he was knighted is what gives food for thought. It is one thing to be Australian Prime Minister, it is another thing to be Australian. This captain's choice clearly puts him in the ranks of being Unaustralian. We can not be led by someone who, like Bob Menzies, Dame Joan, et al, who call England home. We deserve better.

From a purely technical perspective, 82 C is the preferred temperature.
