Write up a legally enforceable agrement that your parents will act as guarantors for all projected losses on your intended investment. Use that money you would have spent on pm's as you please and then sit back and relax .... (just kidding )
Thanks again for all the suggestions. I've already made the decision to continue stacking regardless of their opinion, but i will certainly try to "educate" them and others as to the benefits of PM's. Will definitely show them the Mike Maloney videos as it's probably much more convincing when coming from an expert and that should hopefully get rid of any doubts.
I bet you would be a little bit proud though that your kid was dong something so sensible at that age as saving his/her money in a very clever way, and was smart enough to pay attention to was was going on around him or her to make that decision....;-)
Absolutely Jonesy. In my family it's the other way round. I have to convince the kids to invest in silver Had success with one of my sons, just gotta work on the other 2 now. Got them a 1oz Kook each for Chrissy and I'm hoping this will get them interested.
And when they change their mind and decide to invest into PMs themselves, kindly ask them to kiss you in the forehead.
Good on you for thinking outside the normal 18 years booze boobs and BBq's.. But seriously buy mum and dad the book for christmas. That will be a great investment for them and you.
Legggy, ask you dad how much interest his term deposit give him? and how much appreciation his property gave him in the past 30 years? And then show him silver chart, silver have the average annual appreciation of 75% yearly in the past 9 years! Beat that dad.
It's funny that you mentioned 'Term Deposit' because i was actually asked to commit a considerable amount of money into a term deposit, but i decided against it knowing that the pitiful interest that i would be earning would be offset by the ravages of inflation that would be an inevitable part of this failing economy. Instead im putting the bulk of my money into PM's to preserve my wealth and possibly increase it if the silver market does take off as is predicted.
