can anyone here tell me about the stone in the ring I got recently?
the ring is 21ct gold btw and at least 30yr old. looks like a amateur jeweller as the quality of the build is average but defiantly hand made

I'd go with the obvious and say amethyst but this is only a guess, I am not a jeweler.

    Amethyst n Quarzt.
Look like one stone drop off.

It could be Ruby N Diamonds.

my best guess would be Amethyst and Diamond, not sure they would set quartz in 21kt gold. You would have to have it tested to be sure though

Did you see that clear stone chipped? Clarity doesnt show as much for brilliant round.

Thought diamond suppose to be hard.

Diamonds are hard however if there are fissures or fine flaws, a hard knock can chip the stone
If the stones in this ring are real diamonds, they are most likely low grade stones with not a great deal of value.
There are a lot of clouds and feathers visible in the stones.

Agreed, i was going to go with Amethyst and Diamonds - or clear sapphires.

Quartz would be unlikely based on the jewellery i have seen and dealt with
