    G'day all,

I have grey nomad relatives touring Lima, Peru at the moment. They are now climbing Machu Pichu. If they survive the climb and return in one piece I want to take advantage while they are there.

Can somebody recommend to me what to buy? Gold, Silver, coins or bullion. I have a budget of A$1,500 to a$2000.

And if you can suggest where they can be bought.

    Thanks,

    LD

Not sure if they are abundant there but you can look for the 100 soles gold coin.

I urge caution for your relatives when buying coins over there as forgery is rife.
Tourists can be an easy target for everything from taxi change to buying coins.
I was there last in 2012 and the problem only seemed to be getting worse.
