    Why does my PC , auto deleting its memory?

    Any chance of recovery??

    Asking for system image.

    Any IT person out there that can help Chip :( ?

    There is nothing there now.

    Was self deleting a day ago when switching on.

    Stop being a DH !!! I am trying to recover this, so I can continue my project.

    All images are in the system.

    Your first project should be to develop a sense of humour, the second should be to stop being a cheap sod and get it fixed properly.

    go to a C: prompt and type fdisk and hit enter...that will resolve your complained about issue.

    Yes, I noticed it was self deleting a day ago.

    Any chances of recovery.

    No icons at all. Just Blue screen.

    Attempting recovery but doesn't works.

    Assuming you have backed up all your important data???

    This is were a hard drive caddy comes in handy but you still need access to a second computer to do the data recovery so this may not be an opionon???

    But yes sounds your best choice by what information you have given is A) take to a PC shop or B) get someone with some PC knowledge to look at it in person.

    You might have a virus. If it was me I would remove the hard drive and plug it into another PC's USB port using a Docking Station. Scan for viruses and then search for your files and copy them to another separate hard drive.

    You should always assume that your computer will fail at some time, so make regular backups of files.

    As someone who got caught recently with a broken screen on my mobile phone and subsequently cant access any data .. do regular backups of your phone data too !!
