Hi all. I posted over in silver coins but got no response.

I'm a fairly new stacker and couldn't help buying this beauty of a coin, but I can't find any solid info on it.

There's plenty of info on the 1oz variants, but the 5oz seems to be a mystery.

Any help/info/etc. would be greatly appreciated!

    G'day and Welcome :)

These are part of a fairly rare bigger series called Centenerario Discovery of the Americas. From memory it was the 5th one in the set. 5oz of 999 Silver. Can't remember who made the series - sorry. The Obverse is (obviously) an effigy of Christopher Columbus. The reverse is the 3 ships on the voyage - The Pinta, The Santa Maria and The Nina. Slightly prone to milk spots.

Hi and thank you for the reply!

Any idea what it's worth, aside from inherent silver value?
