Maybe, but right and wrong is subjective based on the community thus as the thread stated we used the general consensus of the community to judge the situation between opposing ideas.

Hem9, no good deed goes unpunished, next time someone advertises a blatant lie the deal should end, alarm bells should have rang.

There is a 'clear' familiar reference example here that some are missing-ebay.
Purchase an item, pay the seller his sale price then have Paypal skim a handling fee off the sale amount before transfer.
The seller actually receives less than the sale price for the transfer of monies.
The difference is the Seller is aware of the fee and accepts it albeit grudgingly.
Here the Seller is unaware of the handling fee charged by 'his' bank.
This does not automatically become the buyers responsibility, you could convincingly argue the Sellers had a due diligence to include all processing fee's and add them onto the sales price when the true location of the buyer was known.

The amount that was paid into your account was the amount you quoted.

Third party (Hem9's Bank) takes out fees.

The buyer has honored the originally agreed terms and should not be required to pay any extra for a fee imposed by a seperate third party unless that was agreed to prior.

You had to call your bank because you were unaware that they charged fees on this type of transaction.

You hassle the buyer to pay for your own ignorance.

Just because the majority people have taken your side or sympathise with your situation doesnt make you right.

Please dont take my criticism personally Hem9.

Feel for ya hem, real PIA customer this one.

If there's one thing I've learned from dealing with difficult customers in retail its this...

Give em what they want. Foot the $X bill and chalk it up to experience. Better to part with a measly $X and deal with a situation quickly and decisively - than let some @$$ ruin your day LOL :)

Then of course black list them and come here to let us all know about it too, cause from what I've read this is one joker I'd never want to do business with...
