Yep. Last I recall GP (GoldPelican for noobs) said we are still >70% aussie members (not including Russian spammers). Steadily seeing more of our US friends join. Lots of SE-Asian buddies too and a very slowly growing number from europe. (And a few dots from other countries like Argentina)
I think right now stacking is on everybody's mind. Here in the United States, our concern is our growing deficit. Making our currency a mute point when it comes to conducting commerce worldwide. Only thing that will to worth having is precious metals.
Welcome rastatodd, Here is a coin every rasta is recommended to have http://www.ebay.com/itm/1887-Ethiop...74?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item2577a4c872#shId It is a 1 Birr Ethiopean Silver Thaler ( same specs as the Maria Theresa Thaler both in purity as well as asw ) Note: I am not selling any Birr's at the moment, just pointing it out
I use to own some Thalers back some time ago. I believe they were originally minted in Austria. Than the coin was contracted out to various middle east mints so as to conduct commerce with other trading partners who only toke the Thaler as payment. But don't hold me to that. If I am wrong please correct me. The one thing I am fuzzy on is the finesse. .835? I did have so sweet mint condition Thalers. It's one of those coins that is nice to look at.
Hi Todd and welcome. Great bunch of folks here. I spent a little time up your way. When folks started talking about shoveling snow it was time for me to head south.
Yeah Ironwood, you had the right idea heading south with the first mention of snow. Year before last we accumulated 98 inches of the white stuff. Was getting so deep I couldn't blow the snow over the drifts I had amassed on both sides of my driveway from previous snowstorms.
